Why do I travel?

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life was to travel as much as possible, and quite frankly, as far as possible! Exploring new countries and cultures has become one of my favorite hobbies in life, and I can always make room for travels. The feeling I get after landing in a foreign country, with nothing but my travel documents and bare essentials, is indescribable and only those who have experienced it know it! So, why do some people get the travel bug and get itchy feet to go as far as they can, while others are quite happy with an annual visit to their favorite (and often times quite close-by) vacation spot? I believe it all comes down to character – some of us feel cozier at home, and some of us feel more at home when we are on a foreign land. Whichever works for…

Personal Diaries: Family Bond – Reconnecting with my those who matter

As my five-year trip away from my family came to a close, let me take a moment to reflect about family bond. A few years ago, I would never think how important is to stay connected with my roots, and most of all with my parents. When I left my home country five years ago in pursuit of my dreams, I knew that my life will be full of travel. I was excited to see the world and thrilled to meet people from all walks of life. Most of all, I wanted to live my own adventure; an adventure that was full of changes and life lessons. It was then that I realized the importance of family bond and love. A Constant Change You know what they say, “the only thing constant is change.” Today, everything changes so quickly, and if it happens to follow a similar career to mine,…

A Rainforest Paradise – Munduk Moding Plantation

Munduk Moding Plantation recently invited me to spend a few days in one of their villas. To say I was excited was an understatement. This is part of the dream life of any lifestyle and travel blogger – to explore the beauty of the world around them. Friday couldn’t come soon enough. Amid my excitement, the weather decided that it wanted a break from gloriously sunny days. The result – an overcast and rainy weekend. Fortunately, that didn’t stop me from exploring the luxurious resort of Munduk Moding Plantation. I arrived at Munduk Moding Plantation at 4 pm on Friday afternoon to be greeted with rainy conditions. The rain and fog remained throughout the weekend with the sun only resurfacing again on Monday. As a result, I did not get to see much of the surroundings of the resort, but gave me ample time to enjoy the gorgeous villa that I had been…

Life in Bali – The good, the real and the ugly (Part 1)

When I first came to Bali in August, I never thought that a place can be so artfully contradicting and diverse. I traveled a lot in the past and lived in similar places like Thailand, Malaysia and Egypt, but only Bali perfectly describes a harmonious chaos. I arrived here on my own knowing very little about this place. Soon enough, with the help of some wonderful people I met along the way, orientating and adjusting to this new environment was easy. In general locals and expats are very open, friendly and happy to help with everything. It’s beautiful to see how people support each other in this community.  Whatever is the reason you find yourself in Bali, this place is a safe haven for many. Recreation and Wellness For recreation, Bali provides several outdoor options such as hiking, snorkelling and diving, however Bali is best known as an ultimate surfing destination.…
