A More Human Fitness

In our day to day life we come across numerous theories about dieting and workouts. Most of these are based on science and observation. Some are just another fad and nothing more that a well-marketed idea. Regardless, I find that all of these methods don’t take into account something extremely important: The human factor! Fitness is one of the sciences studying the human body, however I find that our knowledge to date is far behind. This statement not only comes from a strong believer of science, but also from a person who after spending most of my life training, I came to a greater understanding that there are much more about our bodies, than plain statistics. Social media undoubtedly raised awareness about fitness lifestyle. More women these days have a basic understanding of the benefits around healthy living, training and eating smarter. We now find women being stronger, lifting heavy weights and loving an athletic body. We have the knowledge to shape our bodies the way we like it. We see that many women feel great about themselves and that training is a daily confidence and mood booster. Why it shouldn’t? We moved away from the old stereotype of maintaining a good figure based solely on dieting and that’s really refreshing! While I see…

How did I fall in love with Fitness

When I first started having a systematic fitness routine not many women were focusing on weights training at that time. Fitness wasn’t a craziness like these days and social media were just on their beginning. (Yes! That was a very long time ago!) I still remember my first time at the gym, when a good looking and friendly personal trainer (allocated by the gym) orientated me. He showed me a few exercises to start with and gave me a weekly workout plan after discussing about my goals. I felt that I had to stick with it, just because I didn’t want to disappoint my trainer. ???????? I was quite in bliss at that stage, yet I had so much work to do! I grew up at a place that gyms and training facilities were not available. I was always incline towards fitness and I was secretly aspiring to pursue this…
