Emotional eating (part 2): How to beat the comfort food feeling!

Are you really hungry, or are you going through another emotional wack? Emotional eating is a little bit tricky! I totally get it if you tell me that you are tired and you just want to reach out for a little bit of comfort in something small and delicious like a piece of chocolate or a cookie…and to tell you the truth, life is too small for worrying about eating a tiny cookie. It’s the little pleasures in life that make our days special! You see, you are not going to book a first class ticket to heaven if you behave, because it’s not a sin to enjoy naughty food…What most likely makes your relationship with food a living hell is the guilt of overeating. The real problem with emotional eating is not what we eat, but how much we eat and our inability to take control. My Latest Addiction

Do you want to know what is my latest addiction? VULNERABILITY! Yes, that state that you find yourself to be so emotional, fragile and weak. Call my crazy, but I love it! And here’s why… BUT first let me share an allegory story… “Once upon a time there was a little Princess who was full of love, creativity, spontaneousness, and truth…she was a true inspiration for many…but soon enough, as she was growing older into a young woman she had to “adult”. Round and round we spin in this never ending spiral of insecurity, self-doubt and fear. When I was faced with the choice to stay in Greece where I would be defined by other people’s dreams, expectations or opinions or venture off on my own into a large world,  I had to stare hard at myself.  At this moment,  I was the only one who had to believe in me and my dreams. This conviction was necessary for me…

Fear of Fear

In our day to day life, we allow doubt, worry and fear to take over our lives. We allow them to sneak in our moments of joy, our ambitious plans and our desire to push forward. Fear is a thief of our happiness, but it can also be an instinctive protector and an inner guide for making wise decisions. One thing I was always afraid in my life was fear. The kind of fear that holds me back from being the person I really am; that fear that limits my potential. The fear that makes me question whether it’s smart to keep going. Living a life without courage, is not the life I signed up for. I was given a golden ticket for living my life to the fullest, to make the most of my adventurous journey, and fear has little space in my life. As a warrior of my…
